We wish to make it clear that in its work, the EC is always guided by the UKZN SRC Constitution (including Annexure B of the SRC Constitution) and other relevant regulatory framework. It is the responsibility of the EC to ensure that these elections are free and fair.

The contesting student organisations and individual candidates that appear on the Final Candidates List (attached) are hereby granted permission to stand for election on the 12, 13 and 14 October 2022.

We encourage all students to go out in their numbers to participate in the remainder of these electoral processes. We also wish to appeal to the contesting student organisations and individuals to show each other respect and tolerance during this time.
